THE ORIGIN OF CARMEN POWER

Innovative theatre-maker Toby Peach, who experienced cancer as a teenager, has developed this imaginative and often joyful digital story with Carmen in order to tell her story in her own words. I worked with Carmen and Toby when the piece was due to be a live performance and then again when Covid restrictions applied and the digital version was developed, supporting their rehearsal process and the crafting of the narrative elements of the piece.

While this is about one child's story, it also has a universal message about finding our inner strength and resilience, and asks us what we can learn from life's most unexpected moments.
